Apollo RA Chapter No 301 in Alcester finish off their busy summer with involvement in two meetings within a week!

The chapter has had one of the busiest summer seasons in its history. In the last four months the chapter has been lucky enough to be able to welcome two Exaltees and nine joining members to its ranks – so increasing its numbers by some 40%.

The latest exaltation was on 18th October of W Bro Andrew Chung, an enthusiastic Provincial Grand Steward in Warwickshire Craft. Andrew finally has therefore completed his journey in pure and antient masonry by joining a vibrant Royal Arch chapter.

On the evening there were a number of craft provincial active officers present to support Andrew, including W Bro Peter Clarke APGM, to again emphasise the indissoluble link between craft and royal arch masonry.

The meeting was also honoured by the presence of E Comp Philip Gough, Past Deputy Grand Superintendent, who added his well-known mix of gravitas and humour to the occasion. A fine festive board followed as usual at Arrow Mill Hotel.

On the Sunday before, the chapter had taken part in Alcester Court Leet’s High Bailiff March and Church Service along with other masonic orders that meet in the town. To see representatives of all the different masonic orders together in their respective regalia was a joy for all those taking part and something that had not probably happened for 100 years. Hopefully, it will not be another 100 years before this occurs again!
