Knowle Chapter No 8001 – Final Meeting on November 21st 2023

On Tuesday 21st of November the Deputy Grand Superintendent E.Comp David Graham, accompanied by the Provincial Grand Scribe E.Comp Derek Lodge, Provincial Grand Steward E.Comp Paul Walker and escorted by the Provincial Grand DC E.Comp James Freakley attended the final meeting of the Knowle Chapter.

The Chapter having served the Province and its members with distinction and honour for over 50 years decided it was no longer viable to continue.  Whilst the night was a celebration of all the members exalted & new friends found over the years it was tinged with sadness as the last page in the minute book was closed.

Those present were treated to fond memories of happier times with E.Comp Peter Rodwell, E.Comp David Rice and E.Comp Andrew Lee recalling their experiences in the chapter and fond memories of former members.

The final piece of ritual was delivered by the MEZ E.Comp Peter Rodwell in his usual exemplary style and appropriately the Aldersgate closing charge.

Many of the members have already joined other chapters in Warwickshire where I am sure their contribution will be invaluable and their Royal Arch journey will be continued.
