Bedeword Chapter No 7274

Bedeword Chapter was consecrated in 1969 at the old Coventry Masonic Hall in Little Park Street, because Nuneaton Masonic Hall was not considered large enough. After the consecration the Chapter met at Nuneaton Masonic Hall and continues to do so. The Chapter celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2019.  Bedeword is the Anglo-Saxon spelling of Bedworth as it appears in the Doomsday Book.

The Chapter meets four times a year on the Third Wednesday of January (Installation) March, September and November. There is a good mix of younger companions and older ones who enjoy each others company and work together to give candidates a good experience of Exaltation.

The members historically have been mainly from Bedeword and Newdegate Lodges but over the last few years that has naturally widened to include the other two Nuneaton Lodges Abbey and Etone  as well as Athelstan, and more recently the Lodge of the Round Table. The Chapter is open to all, and Master Masons from any Lodge are welcomed. Annual Subscriptions which run from January to December are currently £70 per annum and Dining Fees at Nuneaton are of the order of £22.00 including wine at pre dinner drinks.

Any Master Mason who is interested in becoming a Royal Arch Mason or any companion wishing to become a joining member should contact David Hopkins Scribe E. davidhopkins929@outlook.com Tel. 01455 220152.
