Royal Arch Roadshow – Rugby 2023

On Monday 27th February some 30 Brethren and Companions attended the Royal Arch Roadshow at Rugby. The Deputy Grand Superintendent David Graham welcomed everyone in good style. Following that introduction, the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal John Starley then gave what can only be described as a colourful and informative presentation of the background to the Royal Arch, through which many of the Companions assembled ably assisted by adding their own video clips about their experiences on their personal journey of discovery as Royal Arch Freemasons.

Everyone should have gone away knowing how the RA order extends the knowledge gained as Master Masons in the Craft, and have a clear idea about what’s involved in taking that step to become a Royal Arch Companion. As with many things in life, there’s no right time to join, and, as with everything, it needs to be able to fit in with the rest of one’s life.

After an opportunity to have a look at the Chapter room layout, for those who wanted, brethren and companions mingled and enjoyed an extremely tasty finger buffet, and dealt with any remaining questions. Commenting, E Comp David Graham said “I hope everyone is leaving with an appetite for more, and whenever they are ready to join, knowing enough to be confident about doing it.”

The next roadshow will be at Nuneaton on 24th April, and, once again, all Master Masons are invited to attend, and Companions are encouraged to bring a brother who they think might be interested in knowing more about this next, and most important step in Freemasonry.
