Apollo Chapter 301 gave a very warm welcome, in more ways than one, when they were lucky enough to exalt W Bro Tim Johnson, (the current Worshipful Master of Swan of Avon Lodge No 2133 meeting in nearby Stratford-upon-Avon).
They were also honoured to be able to vote in two previously unattached RA members, in the shape of E Comp Simon Westwood and Comp Tony Elmes. Sadly, Simon could not be with us on the evening as his wife Christine had only recently come out of hospital, so quite rightly putting into practice our Most Excellent Grand Superintendent’s now well-known mantra of family first, then work, and only then freemasonry.
The chapter was also lucky enough to have huge support yet again from Warwickshire Province led by E Comp Geoff Walker, the 3rd Provincial Grand Principal and E Comp Mike Hogarth, the Assistant to the Principals. Just over thirty companions, including some who had travelled from quite far afield, were able to sit down for a memorable festive board at Michelin Star Arrow Mill overlooking their delightful mill pond.
